Interim Executive Director

Where do we go from here?

As UIM looks to the future, we anticipate the return of the Lord Jesus Christ for the Church at any time.  While we are waiting and watching for Him, we plan to continue to do the will of the Heavenly Father by submitting to the Head of the Church, living in the power of the Holy Spirit, and boldly proclaiming the Word of God as Jesus builds His Church.

The purpose of UIM is to establish indigenous churches among Native Indian, Mexican, and Hispanic peoples of North America built on the Scriptures and functioning within their cultural orientation.

To fulfill this purpose UIM will continue to:

  • Focus its ministry on these people groups in North America by evangelizing, baptizing, and discipling as taught in the New Testament;

  • Recruit personnel, partner with local personnel resources, in concert with their sending churches, and install them into appropriate spheres of ministry;

  • Enlist both prayer and financial support, receive and disburse funds, and engage in administrative and support activities that contribute to its purpose;

  • Acquire and dispose of real and personal property as is appropriate to the accomplishment of this purpose.

Over the past 50 years many local churches have entrusted their members to serve on the UIM boards or as missionaries.  Many of these people have come from Native Indian, Mexican, and Hispanic people groups.  Their lives, ministries, and passion for Christ and His church have greatly impacted the UIM family and local churches that have been established throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico. As the UIM family walks by faith into the future, we fully anticipate developing more multi-ethnic teams who will partner closely with and follow the leadership of the indigenous church leaders in reaching more people for Christ and establishing local churches.
